Newton 50th Art Exhibition 2nd – 5th May 2014

The Preview evening on May 2nd saw the presentation of prizes, kindly donated by The Newton Art Group and Hobbycraft, to the winners of the local schools art competition.

A total of twenty four artists contributed to the show and thirteen pictures were sold from the main exhibition room together with many cards and unframed prints from the back room. In total the sales were in excess of £2000, exceeding last year’s takings.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Peter Geraghty for the  generous donation of a beautiful picture for the raffle prize and to all the members who so kindly gave up their time to set up, display and steward the exhibition.

At the time of writing, we are awaiting confirmation of dates for a further Exhibition to be held at Benningborough Hall prior to Christmas.  Watch this space!!
